SPECIALITIES

Per one year, when NSPU is executed 90, the preparation of the experts only under the day time form of training at psychologo- pedagogical faculty is carried out on the following specialities:

  • Social pedagogics with an additional speciality "Pedagogics and technique of initial education";

The list of specialities and additional specializations changes in view of need of city for the staff, requirements of a regional component of the basic educational plan and presence of the qualified staff at pedagogical university. Such approach according to the Law of Russian Federation "About education" increases social security of the future expert and enriches with the person of the teacher, expanding a range of professional knowledge, skills, skills, raising a level of theoretical preparation of the teacher, his erudition and culture.

Traditional specialities of faculty " Preschool pedagogics and psychology " and "Pedagogics and technique of initial education" use the raised demand among the entrants. The competition on the given specialities even in conditions of reduction of preschool establishments in area does not happen less than two men on a place.

The figures of a commercial set testify To popularity of faculty of Psychology-Education among the entrants. On day time branch in comparison with 1995 the number of such students has increased in 10 times and in 2000 has made 78 men. The similar situation and on correspondence branch, where third year functions commercial branch "Psychology". The quota of the students is defined by the plan of reception, which is regulated by department of education and science.

HISTORY OF FACULTY

The faculty of Psychology and Education conducts readout of time since 1930, when under the offer the National committee of education in the Nizhniy Novgorod teacher college was created evening preschool branch. The first release of this branch has made ten students.

In 1934 the pedagogical faculty with 4-year's term of training united preschool and school branches opens. Its dean became the head by department psychology the professor Serafim Mikhajlovich Vasilejsky. In the further faculty headed R.R.Sonina, S.V.Loginov, A.N.Krylov, Y.V.Rusov, I.K.Dornogin, L.I.Durandina. Since 1996 the dean is the associate professor A.V.Shabanov. Till 1994 at faculty the preparation of the experts on two specialities was carried out: pedagogics preschool and pedagogics of initial education.

Already during formation of faculty the educational process based on the certain fundamental theoretical bases. The conceptual approach developed at active participation D.A.Balik's, S.M.Vasilejsky's etc., included two basic directions: integration of the pedagogical theory and methodology, optimum ratio of theoretical and empirical levels of researches. The pedagogical technologies based on theoretical and methodological principles, allowed to decide a task of preparation of the highly skilled pedagogical staff, convincingly proving the importance of the scientific approach to performance of the social order.

In modern conditions of a developing legal democratic society and state the perfection of system of education is required. In the concepts offered by collective of the teachers of faculty (U.V.Ulenkova, T.M.Sorokina, E.E.Dmitrieva, O.V.Troshin, E.N.Volkova, N.G.Komratova), two basic directions of preparation of the future expert for educational establishments - formation of the person of the future expert and system active approach to general-theoretical, general-cultural and methodical preparation of the expert are precisely determined. A basis of the first direction make - actualization of a moral position of the students on a basis humane of perception of the world; the development humane of pedagogical outlook, which is realized in flexible pedagogical thinking; development of communicative abilities of the students. The second direction assumes mastering by fundamental maximum education according to the basic educational plan and regional needs; development of need and ability to creative activity; mastering innovations by technologies of training and education; their correction during pedagogical practice.

Such approach in change of professional training puts the student in a position of the subject of activity. The general direction in professional training of the expert is realized in directions of work of departments.

From the moment of organization of pedagogical faculty (so the faculty before opening a speciality "Psychology" -1994) basic purpose of training referred to as was the increase of quality of preparation of the experts of maximum education. In a basis of training the offered state educational plans and programs were fixed. In connection with reforming system of maximum vocational training since 1987 are concretized both purpose, and contents of education of the students. It humane of education, maintenance of complete development of the person of the students, their self-development. On the basis of the new approaches to educational activity the collective of departments of faculty (department preschool pedagogics, pedagogics both technique of initial training and children psychology), takes part in drawing up of the educational plan and programs of disciplines submitted in it, that has helped to change a position of the teachers and actively to realize personality potential of the students not only in educational, but also in scientific activity. The program scientifically research work and Educational and research work is developed; there is a consecutive system of this work with the students. Became to possible acceleration of intensity of training of the graduates of pedagogical schools under the specially developed programs, or so-called target intensive preparation of the students (TIPS).

Since 1993 the transition to multilevel preparation of the students by the cardinally changed plan which has required of the teachers development of new disciplines, educational programs, rates at a choice both practical works and technology of their realization in educational process began.

THE ADDITIONAL ITEMS OF INFORMATION

It is interesting to look after changes of qualitative structure of the teaching staff on departments. So, in 1985 on faculty, which has headed T.M.Sorokina, there were only two diplomaed experts. Now their number exceeds 70 %. Does not hand over to a position and faculty of preschool pedagogics. Notwithstanding what for some reasons department for last 15 years were left by the diplomaed experts (M.N.Aksenova, L.S.Sekovec, G.V.Gruba, E.F.Terenteva, G.G.Grigoreva, E.N.Dmitrieva, D.V.Sergeeva, N.F.Komarova), percent of the diplomaed experts owing to inflow of youth was kept at a level 60 %. On department special psychology and the pedagogics at the moment of its formationation worked only two diplomaed experts: the doctor and candidate of medical sciences (O.V.Troshin and A.G.Andreev). Now department has grown up to ten teachers, from which six diplomaed. By virtue of specificity of departments of foreign languages the number of the diplomaed experts is insignificant, less than 20%.

The teachers of faculty conduct constant search of the effective forms and methods of training. Justify itself such forms, as problem lectures, lecture together, lecture - dialogue.

So, the rate "Psychological didactics" is read by the teachers of different disciplines of department pedagogics and technique of initial education T.M.Sorokina. And N.N.Demeneva. Such lectures are under construction on the basis of integration. To a structural kind of disciplines forming the theoretical base integrational of system first of all is made for this purpose reduction as their contents gives understanding of general principles and laws. The disciplines having a practical orientation, show refraction of the general approaches through the private phenomena.

The good effect gives attraction of the students to reading lectures. The opportunity is given to the students to the undergraduates to act with the brief message or to read lecture (20-30 minutes) on younger rates on materials of own researches executed within the framework of course or degree works (the chiefs: M.I.Zhavoronkova, N.N.Demeneva, T.M.Sorokina, T.Y.Zheleznova, S.K.Tivikova, T.N.Knyazeva, E.G.Gucu, A.A.Smolenceva, E.E.Dmitrieva, T.A.Konakova, T.A.Serebryakova).

Seminar and practical lessons will be carried out as in traditional, and new forms: the seminar - discussion develops at the students pedagogical thinking and forms own estimated judgements; seminar - employment on manufacture (preschool educational establishment, the school) forms skills of the analysis and modeling of the future professional activity; the seminar - conference forms need for research activity, develops skills of the comparative analysis of the theory and practice of training, foreign and domestic experience; a seminar in the form "of a round table".

With the purpose of development of communicative abilities of the students at seminar lessons the group form of training is used. The creative judgement of knowledge and formation of pedagogical skills is promoted by practical lessons on manufacturing visual aids, technique on a training.

At practical lessons problem methods (heuristic conversations, decision of problem tasks, research method etc.) also are widely used. As a group method of the decision of problems "the brain storm" is used. It is applied as a means of "accumulation" of ideas, search of problems, creation "box" of interesting businesses.

Many teachers organize at seminar and practical lessons of discussion, using receptions of tasks of "traps", collision of various opinions, which are developed during preliminary work on groups, choice of optimum variant of the decision of a pedagogical or methodical task etc.

The special role in professional training of the graduate is allocated to the forms of the control. The traditional understanding of functions of examinations and offsets as supervising brakes development of creative independent thinking, as aims on reproductive reproduction of concrete knowledge, at pragmatical formal motivation of a passing examinations. With the purposes of strengthening developing function of the control the various forms of the current and final control checking a level of knowledge of the students, mastering by ways cognitive of activity and estimated judgements are used.

Last years at faculty the process of information of educational process, edition of the textbooks both manuals for the students and post-graduate students of institute is actively carried out. For the workers of preschool establishments the department preschool pedagogics creates the various methodical grants

At faculty for demonstration of educational videofilms and of audio- materials there are three colour TV sets three the videorecorder, code projector for demonstration of the grants on transparent pellicle. The increase of efficiency of educational process is promoted by presence on each department computer, photocopier, scanner.

In April, 2000 to faculty of psychology and Education 70 years were executed. In this connection at faculty the various conferences and measures devoted to this date were carried out.

Event at faculty is the release of the Bulletin of faculty of Psychology and Education, which allows to publish clauses of the young teachers, post-graduate students and students, to carry out integration of scientific directions and researches of faculties, to mark a role of the students in public life of faculty (in section "Chronicle"), to create the annals of faculty and to carry out a feedback with our graduates.

For past 15 years outside of the educational work of the students keeps the basic directions. The students take part in all cultural - mass measures of university: day of knowledge, Day of the teacher, clubs cheerful and ready-quick, the festivals "Candle" etc. At the same time at faculty were kept traditional measures having an orientation on educational process: pedagogical competition, it is possible to share a spring holiday "Magpies", dramatized fantastic representations etc. Forms of work with the students in outside of educational time into three directions.

1. Development of professional motivation: realization of "Pedagogical competition" (competition on a speciality), organization of scientific student's conferences, pedagogical readings, competitions of scientific student's works, subject Olympiads etc. - organization of meetings with scientific, with the graduates of faculty, with the representatives of author's schools, authors and experimenters working on the new programs. Participation in the actions of mercy "Toys to children", help to children houses and boarding schools.

2. Expansion of an outlook of the students: - organization of outputs in theatres and on concerts of classical music (in development of a rate "a Technique of musical education"), on art exhibitions. - realization literary - musical evenings (some together with library (T.A.Efimova): "Evening of waltzes", "Music and literature", "Face of beauty" etc.

3.The creation of conditions for development of creative opportunities of the students passes in the form of organization of holidays ("New year", "Last bell" etc.), help in organization of evenings - meetings with the students of other high schools.

Last two years the scientific work of the students was made active. So, the students of branch "Psychology" have presented about 15 reports at two international conferences in St.-Petersburg and Kiev. For last two years to the students of faculty was announced more than 60 gratitudes in the orders. In April 2001года on base NSPU the international student's conference on psychology was held. In it have taken part more than fifty students of faculty of Psychology and Education.

Thus, for 70 years of the existence the faculty has passed a way from one evening branch with a quota in ten men up to faculty, on which more than two thousand students are trained.

The faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics for 71 years of conducting educational activity not only has kept old and kind traditions incorporated it founders, but in modern conditions creates also new approaches in education of the students. The qualitative structure of the teachers of faculty allows confidently to look in the future.
