History of chair

Chair of the mathematical analysis is created by the order on pedagogical institute of January 16, 1946. From faculty, existing up to it, of mathematics two were formed: chair of the mathematical analysis and chair of geometry and algebra. Per different years of existence chair of the mathematical analysis her headed:

The appreciable trace in a history of mathematical faculty and chair of the mathematical analysis was left by the professor I.R.Brajcev, the basic area of which scientific interests was the theory of functions complex variable. The schoolboys I.R.Brajceva were the academician A.F.Leontev and senior lecturer V.P.Ivanov, heading chair in 1949- 1971. Wide popularity in mathematical circles had the expert in the theory of functions material variable N.A.Frolov. The traditions of faculty were carefully stored by the heads L.N.Krivonosovym and R.G.Rakhmankulovym.

Per different years on chair the candidates of sciences R.V.Makushina, N.G.Gasharov, V.A.Kolusheva, M.R.Sikorsky, senior teachers L.P.Lukicheva, G.M.Korolev, A.I.Koroleva, K.S.Klimentova, V.F.Gospodchikov, B.C.Boyarinova, assistants S.A.Seleznev, E.A.Potapova worked. In 1985 on the basis of faculty of the mathematical analysis was formed chair of computer science and computer facilities, which was headed by the senior lecturer M.A.Iordansky.

The employees of chair act with the scientific reports at the international conferences and schools, are the reviewers of an abstract magazine "Mathematics", take part in work of the Nizhniy Novgorod mathematical society, support scientific communications with mathematical chairми of various universities of Russia. The work of a scientific seminar "Dynamic systems" and scientific - methodical seminar "Scientific - methodical bases of a rate of the mathematical analysis" promotes increase of a level of theoretical preparation of the young teachers of faculty and regular updating of subjects special rates, rates at a choice, final and course works.
