CHAIR OF ALGEBRA AND GEOMETRY

Chair of algebra and geometry- youngest faculty of mathematical faculty: she is educated in April, 2001, when existing before faculty of algebra and faculty of geometry were incorporated. The First head again of educated faculty elected the rector NSPU, professor Gluzdov Victor Andreevich.

OUR HISTORY

For the first time the chair of algebra and geometry was created as structural division of /16/01/1946.

In different time on faculty the known Russian mathematics worked: V.I.Vedernikov, I.P.Egorov, V.I.Kostin. Per the fiftieth years chair of algebra and geometry in GSPU headed I.P.Egorov, successfully deciding problems of the theory of movements differential- of geometrical spaces. With 1959 on 1966 the chair was managed V.I.Vedernikov, outstanding scientific, by the expert in the theory of infinitezimal connection in the stratified spaces. With 1966 on 1976 over chair supervised G.N.Makeev, and with 1976 on 1985 - N.A.Stepanov. In 1985 on the basis of faculty of algebra and geometry were created chair of algebra and faculty of geometry.

Per different years the teachers of chair were V.V.Smirnova, which since 1966 was permanent the dean of mathematical faculty up to 1989, V.I.Chernov, E.P.Dulimova, carrying out employment on mathematics on preparatory branch, N.M. Repina and others.

Now in state of chair 14 teachers: the professor V.A.Gluzdov, professor A.M.Sebeldin; the senior lecturers, candidates of physics- mathematical sciences O.S.Germanov, V.I.Gracheva, T.B.Zhogova, O.V.Kaznina, O.V.Lyubimcev, N.A.Stepanova; the senior teachers N.M.Agafonova, S.E.Antonova, L.F.Kultina; A.N.Pyzhyanova, senior lecturer, candidate of pedagogical sciences G.N.Nikitina, assistent T.A.Beregovaya. The teachers by chair of algebra and geometry provide qualitative reading of lectures and conducting employment for the students of mathematical, physical, historical, philological and Psychological- Pedagogical faculties.

The cycle elections rates of the algebraic and geometrical contents is read. The teachers of chair carry out a management of course works and final qualifying works. the Faculty continues development of packages of the educational and working programs at the specified rates, according to SES of new generation, requirements to base knowledge and skills of the students of mathematical faculty.

SCIENTIFIC WORK

The scientific researches on two basic directions are actively conducted: "differential geometry of spaces with fundamental groups" and "rings endomorfizm and group of homomorfizm of the abel groups and modules". On this subjects the new theoretical results are received which are stated in scientific clauses, doctor and candidate dissertations.

On chair the Mathematical logic is open postgraduate study on a speciality "Algebra. The theory of numbers", which scientific chief is the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor A.I.Sebeldin. The senior lecturer, candidate of physics- mathematical sciences O.V.Lyubimcev and assistant T.A.Beregovaya are the graduates by ours post-graduate study.

OUR LIFE

But we not only read lectures to the students, we conduct scientific researches, we do the reports at seminars and conferences. We regularly visit theatres, we leave on a nature - sometimes together with the students, in general - we live!
