SPECIALITIESIn connection with acceptance in 1995 of the State educational standard (SES) the faculty prepares the new professional - educational program and new educational plan on a speciality "Philology" with qualification "the Teacher of Russian and literature ", which included four cycles of disciplines: general- culture, medical- biological, psychological- pedagogical and subjectal preparation. MAGISTRACYSpecial place in preparation of the scientific and pedagogical staff at philological faculty the magistracy on a direction borrows "Humanitarian knowledge" (the program of masters "Language education", term of training 2 years), the first reception in which was held in 1999. At drawing up of the curriculum under the program of masters "Language education" the faculty based on traditions of research work of faculties, creative search and the initiative of teachers, the original approach to the decision of tasks in view. The curriculum of a magistracy includes a complex of disciplines of methodological and methodical character, and also theoretical disciplines of a subject cycle: philosophy, cultural science, methodology of pedagogical researches, foreign language, anthropological linguistics, sociolinguistics, a language picture of the world, a history of linguistics, linguistic Slavic studies, slavic literatures, linguistic poetics, a technique of the analysis of translation texts, structure of an artistic image, micro- and macro- technologies training to language and the literature etc. Preparation of masters in pedagogical high school - business new and responsible the right to be trained in a magistracy is received by the most prepared graduates who have received a degree of the bachelor, on the basis of competitive selection. That fact testifies to quality of their preparation, that from 11 graduates of a magistracy 2001 3 continue training in postgraduate study at chairs of faculty, the others work in the high schools, the specialized schools, grammar schools and licea. New changes at philological faculty were brought in structure of preparation of the expert in connection with introduction of the new State educational standard (2000) on a speciality "Russian and the literature". At drawing up of the new curriculum by collective of faculty were taken into account both requirements of the new standard, and tradition and a positive operational experience of faculty under curricula of previous periods
AUDIENCE WORKSignificant changes in 80 - 90th years have undergone forms of work traditional for high school in an audience: lectures, seminars, practical and laboratory researches. Alongside with the classical form of realization of lecture the intensive reference to the form of problem lecture that promotes activization of cognitive activity of students practises. The big role during teaching the lecture - dialogue, builded as conversation of the teacher and plays students; theoretical disclosing of a problem is accompanied by the analysis of this or that literary or language phenomenon, the message or the report of the student. Especially rich palette of various receptions of the organization of dialogue is given with rates at a choice. The current control of mastering of a lecture material will be carried out through the monitoring system of a rating which is carried out level with colloquiums, examinations and final forms of the control - by offsets and examinations. The technology of realization of practical and seminar lessons has changed also. Activization of cognitive activity of the student is reached(achieved) as a result of application of receptions of problem training (problem questions, problem situations), individual - group practical work, an establishment of intersubject communications with an output on a level of integration that provides the culturological approach to training literature. Lessons with use of Means of training are widely applied: educational films, educational videofilms, audiorecords, and also illustrations. Visiting theatrical performances with their subsequent discussion and reviewing practises, visiting of an art museum etc. As a result of similar work come to light general for different kinds of art of feature, is developed a culturological sight on this or that epoch.
WORK OF STUDENTSThe big attention at faculty is given independent study of students. Out-of-class work, except for traditional colloquiums and consultations, includes a spelling and protection of abstracts, conducting reader's and critical diaries, annotation and making an abstract of the popular scientific literature Original continuation of study in an audience become literary drawing rooms, literary games - quizes. Integration processes in system of training to Russian and the literature at faculty take the form of creation of the new subject matters making a regional component of the program. It "Bases of Russian language mentality" (a cycle of subject preparation), disciplines of additional specializations "Folklore and a native word" and "Russian literature". Problems of integration character are placed for consideration on within the framework of rates at a choice: "the History of Russian theatre", "Philosophy of Russian word", "the Literature and culture" etc. The rate at a choice organically unites various forms аудиторной works (lecture, practical lessons, a seminar etc.) with independent development by students of scientific problems. The report within the framework of a rate at a choice in most cases becomes a basis for research work. Result of integration judgement of a material for students can become degree compositions which have come in practice of independent scientific work of students at faculty. Thus in requirements to degree (final qualifying) to compositions the scientific urgency is combined with a practical orientation of the works, expressing in judgement of an opportunity of application of scientific knowledge at school. The given requirements find expression in structure of the degree work including, alongside with theoretical, the obligatory chapter by a technique of teaching of the literature, Russian or pedagogics. Approbation of the ideas developed in the degree composition, passes during pedagogical практик at schools of city and area. The final form of certification - graduation examination - includes the questions of integration character allowing graduates to show understanding of a practical orientation of theoretical knowledge, received during training.. Successful preparation of graduates - philologists directly is connected to a high level of scientifically research and scientific - methodical work of teaching structure of faculty. SCIENTIFICALLY RESEARCH WORKScientifically research work on chairs is conducted within the framework of postgraduate study on five directions: "the Russian literature", "the Literature of peoples of Europe and America", "Russian", "the Theory and a technique of training and education (Russian)", "the Theory and a technique of training and education (literature)". With 1991 for 2000 in structure of faculty dissertational council on a speciality "the Literature of peoples of Europe, America and Australia" (the chairman the Doctor of Philology, the professor O.L.Moshanskaya, the scientific secretary Cand.Phil.Sci., the senior lecturer N.M.Ilchenko) function. During its work it was protected 34 master's theses under the English, American, German and French literature, from them 12 dissertations it is protected by teachers and post-graduate students NSPU. The high level of qualification of advice, its scientific importance for region and the countries were fixed by the fact of opening in 2001 of dissertational advice on a speciality "the Literature of peoples of the countries of foreign Countries (the English and American literatures)". The high level of scientific researches of the Nizhniy Novgorod scientists under the world and domestic literature was confirmed on holding on the basis of faculty in September, 2000 of X International conference of association of teachers of the English literature "the Literature of the Great Britain in the European literary context". FACULTY TODAYOn chairs of faculty 46 teachers, among which 5 doctors and 36 candidates of sciences now work; the share of teachers with a degree makes about 90 %. For many teachers working at faculty the philological faculty is alma mater: in different years of it have ended the professor O.L.Moshanskaya, senior lecturers, candidates of sciences E.M.Dzyuba, T.I.Toropkina, L.L.Legoshina, A.V.Kurochkina-Lezina, N.M.Ilchenko, V.N.Devyatov, V.N.Romanova, V.A.Hanov, L.E.Holodilova, V.V.Fedorova, N.V.Yakimec, V.V.Filatova, A.V.Erastova, Z.I.Mozhnova, E.A.Gutina, N.G.Dergunova, E.V.Somova, I.N.Lobanova etc. For maintenance of qualitative preparation of experts in view of the modern requirements showed to the teacher to the philologist, the collective of faculty conducts systematic work on creation of own manuals and the methodical materials focused on illumination of actual problems of a modern philological science, difficult questions of linguistics and literary criticism, on the organization of independent work of students that allows to expand and deepen the maintenance of preparation of the expert of the appropriate structure. For last decade by faculty it is issued more than 20 educational and methodical grants, reading-books, dictionaries and about 40 methodical development of different type addressed to students of day time and in absentia branches, to teachers - language and literature teachers, entrants. Preparation of bachelors, experts and masters at faculty is carried out in close contact with general university chairs and library NSPU. CORRESPONDENCE BRANCHOld traditions of preparation of the language and literature teachers there is a correspondence branch of philological faculty. Constantly focused on training of the teachers and other pedagogical workers, in 80 - 90 years it also undergoes changes. For the first time in 1989 on correspondence branch of philological faculty the preparation of the experts by the reduced educational plans begins on the basis of base profile average special education (term of training 4 years). The changes connected to introduction of the standard, have touched also traditional educational plan (term of training 5 years), which as a whole began to correspond to the educational plan of day time branch. The unity of the requirements showed to preparation of the student - graduate on state final tests is achieved. Last decade the quality of preparation of the language and literature teacherson correspondence branch has increased, the quantity of the students protecting final qualifying works in subjects of final certification has grown. Precise, organized, the stable work of correspondence branch of philological faculty in many respects is caused by a common atmosphere of creativity, scientific search, goodwill inherent in philological faculty as a whole. This spirit of one of oldest faculties of high school long years supports the methodologist of correspondence branch, the former graduate of philological faculty K.A.Gluhova, experience of which work on the given post makes 45 years. EDUCATIONAL WORKIn 80-90-th years essential changes have taken place in educational work of students - philologists. Having gone through anarchy of free visiting of lessons, an interdiction on ideological influence, disintegration komsomol and a leaving from habitual world outlook stereotypes of the Soviet epoch, the philological faculty has in a new fashion realized value of this party of student life for formation of the expert - philologist, taking into account thus old traditions and a wide experience of educational work of previous period. And the main thing here not only in special contact of the student - philologist and the teacher, but also in that atmosphere of educational and scientific life which within five years the future teacher - language and literature teacher lives. Habitual words that education first of all is carried out by means of subjects, are not the declaration for collective of teachers of philological faculty, and make a mainstream of formation of the person of the teacher, education of its general culture and patriotism, aesthetic taste, moral positions. The touch to fine, to secrets of language and the literature occurs at all levels of studying of a philological science. Studying mysterious life of language, its embodiment in the art text as to the maximum form of functioning of language, the student - philologist masters a language picture of the world of the person and ethnos, the Russian mentality embodied in oral national creativity and works of art. The student - philologist not only represents, as world literary process developed, but can analyse the mechanism of folding of an artistic image at any historicoliterary stage of its life. The big role here, certainly, practice of realization of lectures and practical lessens in museums, library funds (plays the Regional art museum, the Centre of slavic culture, the N.A.Dobrolyubov museum, the M.Gorky literary museum, a hall of valuable and rare editions of the V.I.Lenin Regional library etc.). At philological faculty the interest of the students opening for road to a science already from younger rates is traditionally high. Strong in the scientific relation the chairs of faculty is always open for contacts to students. The future expert from the first year is admitted in sacred sacred sciences: it becomes the participant of scientific process at faculty, that in itself forms and brings up the teacher - language and literature teacher. Students are participants of methodological seminars of all faculties of faculty, act with messages and reports at final scientific conferences of university. In 1999, representing NSPU on the All-Russia Olympiad on cultural science in Saransk, students of philological faculty M.Melnikova, A.Bogatyreva and Y.Bogatkova steel its winners. With diplomas I of a degree for participation in the All-Russia scientific conference on philological sciences (Ufa, 2000) were awarded E.Nechaeva and M.Melnikova. HISTORY OF FACULTYPreparation of teachers - language and literature teachers in NSPU has old traditions: it is carried out from the moment of opening in 1911 of the Nizhniy Novgorod teacher's institute. During the long period of the existence philological faculty, as though it in different years referred to (literary historical faculty, linguistic branch, faculty of language and the literature etc.), prepares for the qualified experts - philologists. Working in different regions of our immense Native land, they light light of a native word in souls of pupils, preserve cleanliness and correctness of Russian speech, open the world of the national literature and world culture. Development of philological faculty in 80th years is defined by its allocation in 1986 from structure of historical- philological faculty in independent division of high school.
And changes in activity of faculty in 80 - 90th years have influenced development the social, economic and political processes occuring in life of the state. Strengthening of research work on chairs of the faculty, given freedom of creative search, the enthusiasm of the collective which has arisen on a wave of reorganization, have created conditions for change of structure of faculty. On the basis of faculty of the literature in 1989 were generated faculty of the Russian literature (managing faculty the Doctor of Philology, the professor M.J.Ermakova) and chair of the world literature (head- Doctor of Philology, professor O.L.Moshanskaya); later, in 1991, the chair of a technique of teaching of the literature (head- candidate of pedagogical sciences, senior lecturer L.V.Shamrej) was issued. In connection with the discontinuance of preparation of teachers of Russian for national school the chairy of teaching of Russian at national school was transformed in chair of culture of Russian speech and became general- university chair. The most radical and intensive structural changes were undergone by faculty and preparation of students - philologists in connection with introduction in the beginning of 90th years of multilevel system of pedagogical education. The philological faculty which in this period is headed by Cand.Phil.Sci., the senior lecturer L.I.Kashkina, is part of department (direction) "Humanitarian knowledge" and "Russian and the literature" carries out preparation of students on a speciality . Curricula at this time are under construction by a concentric principle: on I - II years preparation of students - philologists and students - historians under uniform curriculums is supposed wide humanitarian, общекультурная; on III - IV years subject preparation on a speciality is carried out on advantage; On a V year disciplines psychological - a pedagogical cycle, private techniques are widely submitted, participation of students in active student teaching is stipulated. In same time under the order of department of education and a science of administration of the Nizhniy Novgorod area preparation of students on additional specializations "World art culture","Religion conducting","Citizen conducting, "Folklore and a native word","Russian literature" begins. In 1996 the faculty control system and the organizations of educational process is restored. Deccan of faculty selects Cand.Phil.Sci. the senior lecturer G.S.Samojlova, assistants to the dean are appointed the senior teacher O.A.Pacyukova and the senior lecturer E.M.Dzyuba. The same year two methodical chairs of faculty will be reorganized in chair of the theory and a technique of training of Russian literature (head- doctor of political sciences, the professor G.P.Lyubimova).
