Branch of music education

The New speciality "Music education" in NSPU is open from 1998 academic years as the correspondence form of training (3 years) on the basis of average special music education. Upon termination of term of training to the graduate the qualification "the Teacher of music" is appropriated. Are accepted all wishing to study in the higher educational institution which has finished a musical school (on any speciality) or pedagogical college (musical branch).

The Musical branch settles down in II the case NSPU, in the city centre of Nizhni Novgorod, in its historical part, on sq. Minin, near Kremlin. This arrangement is very convenient for realization of educational process, in which the obligatory visitings of concert halls are included: it is possible to carry out philarmonic societies, the M.I.Glinka Nizhniy Novgorod conservatory, Choral school, Choral choir of the boys, Aesthetic centre, Musical school, Theatre of an opera and ballet, Chamber opera theatre, Exhibition halls of an Art museum, best central musical and comprehensive schools with an aesthetic direction, where foremen - classes, pedagogical practice, concert activity.

The Training on the given speciality is based on a commercial basis. The educational plan meets to new generation of state standard, which is supported of the licenses received in 1998 and confirmed state certification, from summer of 2001.

Disciplines

the Set of disciplines on general cultural, medical biological, psychological pedagogical, subject (musical disciplines) to preparation allows to take possession to the future teacher of qualities social and of a person focused orientation, which are claimed in modern conditions. the Subject preparation is submitted by such disciplines, as: a history of music, harmony, solfeggio, basic musical tool, bandmastertion, choral class, vocal class, arrangement, a concertmeister class etc.

the Special interest at the students is caused by psychological pedagogical preparation, allowing to let out the experts with wide musical erudition, with the creative approach in organization of lessons of music. It is submitted by general, age, correctional, musical psychology, by a history and modern techniques of music education and allows to diagnose uniqueness of the person of the child, to create conditions for its development.

The popularity of branch of music education falls outside the limits the Nizhniy Novgorod area, about it speak the facts: the first release a set of 1998 - 76 students, following - 52 students, set 2000 - 78, and 2001- 44 students.

Student's life

During training the conditions for interesting student's life, work by the individual plans and diagrams on disciplines (vocal class, bandmasterion, basic musical tool, choral class) before session in time, convenient for the students are created. The students act at concerts in NSPU, Choral school, at the Aesthetic centre, Conservatory, on festivals and competitions. On musical branch there are traditions of creative character for development of the person of the student. Our students have traditional holidays: day of the student of 1-st year, Day of farewell with pedagogical high school. In 1998 chorus of branch music education "Teacher" was the participant of the international competition "Young votes" and became the winner.

Cooperation

The Young branch rather successfully cooperates with a line of pedagogical universities of Russia and near foreign countries: Moscow, Vladinir, Yaroslavl, Samara, Kostroma, Cheboxary, Ufa, Abakan, Minsk (Byelorussia).

The First graduates (2001) successfully work at musical schools, schools of arts, general educational and preschool establishments, in additional education, in studios of city and area, in departments of of Nizhni Novgorod. At many graduates the need to independent research activity is generated which promotes forecasting of the new scientifically - are proved approaches in organization of music education.
